Kerim White \ David White

At some point in the past, David was a writer who wrote about the adventures of “Joachim Night-Eye”. As yet unrevealed events ended with him allowing “Her” to take him from his world, which resulted in it ceasing to exist.

Now, David has entered the world of his writings, under the name of “Kerim”. He has rejected Her, and aims to do everything in his power to ensure the story he wrote passes as it was meant to.

The hero of David’s story, Joachim was supposed to receive the “Eyes of Night” when he was a child. However, the intervention of Kerim – and Her – have left him without these tools which, apparently, are crucial to his fate.

“Her”

Not much is known about “Her” at this point in time. She seems to be attached to David, and is presumably in love with him. She does not place much value on human life (aside from David’s).

Her powers are practically god-like, as she appears to be capable of both creating and destroying worlds. It is unclear why She has not taken Kerim forcibly from this world.

She has so far appeared twice – once as a protective presence around Kerim\David, and again as a stunningly beautiful mermaid. What her true form is, assuming She has one, is unknown.
